Greeting cards

In January 2008, I started creating my own, hand-made greeting cards like the one you see below.

Card 44: Yellow flower on blue square

The cards are made entirely of paper. It’s creative, precision work that takes time, but I really enjoy doing it. I make each piece, including the decorations, by hand. I do not buy prefabricated pieces. I doubt they even exist given that my designs are my own.

My materials are simple: paper sheets and strips, plus glue. I use various tools to shape the paper and create three-dimensional textures. Each card takes about 45 minutes to make, since I start from scratch with every design and have to measure, cut, shape and texturize each piece of paper. The shapes, colors and textures are all chosen to combine harmoniously and create beautiful, upbeat designs.

The designs that adorn the cards are raised (3D, not 2D), and that makes them somewhat delicate. They will not fall apart unless physically damaged. As long as you treat them with care, they should last a long time. You can visit my card designs page to see detailed, macro photos of the design textures.

When the cards are shipped out to you, they are enclosed in special cardboard boxes. If the postal service does its job properly, they should reach you safely, unharmed.

You may browse through my various designs by visiting my online greeting card catalog. Once there, click on each thumbnail to view the card in a larger size and to see the purchase information. I create new designs every week, and my card catalog grows daily.

I am sure that my greeting cards will make your special someone very happy!

Thanks!
Ligia
